This week in Japanese sales charts: God Eater burst on top, PSP Go beats Xbox 360

Namco Bandai's latest expansion/followup to last year’s monster hunting title, God Eater, still proves to be pretty popular in Japan. God Eater Burst, a revamped version of the hit title, which packs with additional contents, enhanced gameplay and modifications, debuts on top of the charts this week, selling over a quarter million units to take the top spot. On the hardware department, Sony’s PSP still reigns supreme, with the PSP Go moving past the Xbox 360, thanks mainly to the recent price drop of the unit.

God Eater Burst debuts on top of the Japanese software charts this week, selling 263,150 units, enough to grab the first position. Coming in to second place is Konami's latest footballer sim Winning Eleven 2011, while last week's number one, the Super Mario Collection Special Pack, goes down the the third spot. Rounding off the top five is the ever-popular Pokemon Black & White on the fourth spot and the latest installment of the Golden Sun series, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, debuting at the fifth spot.
