New titles set for Wii, DS platforms
Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata took the stage at the Game Developers Conference on Wednesday to encourage developers, talk about the new DSi handheld and introduce some titles for the Wii and DS platforms.

He said Nintendo has sold 50 million Wii units, the fastest growth of any game console. Much of Nintendo's success has come from famous designer Shigeru Miyamoto, who finds fun and surprising game ideas by observing people, hones them using small teams and even "kidnaps" random employees to test prototypes.
Iwata talked up the overall growth of its systems and the opportunities available through the Wii Ware and new DSi Ware digital distribution stores. So far, 75 third-party Wii games from seven publishers have sold more than a million units, he said.
Iwata showed off some new DSi Ware games for the DSi handheld, which goes on sale April 5. Moving Memo allows you to make a flip-book cartoon by drawing and copying images and making changes to them frame by frame. Wario Ware Snapped exploits the DSi's camera by making you control onscreen actions by moving your hands and head. At the end you get a video clip of yourself doing all these crazy movements.
Among the Wii Ware titles announced was Rock 'N' Roll Climber, which uses the Wii remote and nunchuk along with a Wii Balance Board.
The Wii Ware library will welcome two titles this year from Final Fantasy publisher Square Enix: Life as a Dark-lord, a sequel to Life as a King, and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years.
